ORANGEVILLE FOOD BANK REPORTS MAIL THEFT - DONOR NOTIFICATION
ORANGEVILLE, ON - The Orangeville Food Bank regrets to inform our valued community members of a security incident that occurred at our facility. In the early morning hours of Saturday, January 18, at approximately 4:16 AM, two individuals broke into our external mailbox, potentially compromising donations that arrived in Friday's mail delivery.
The incident has been reported to the Ontario Provincial Police, and security footage has been provided to aid in their investigation. While we work with law enforcement to address this unfortunate situation, we are reaching out to our generous donors with an important request.
If you mailed a donation to the Orangeville Food Bank recently, particularly during the week leading up to January 18, we kindly ask that you contact us to confirm whether your contribution has been received. This will help us accurately account for any missing donations and ensure proper acknowledgment of your generosity.
Every donation to our food bank represents someone's compassionate desire to help their neighbors in need. We take this breach of trust very seriously and are implementing additional security measures to prevent future incidents.
The Orangeville Food Bank remains committed to being responsible stewards of our community's generosity. We appreciate your continued support and understanding as we address this situation.
