Orangeville, ON December 4th, 2023
The Orangeville Food Bank extends its heartfelt gratitude to Tim Hortons Orangeville for selecting them as the local beneficiary of the first ever Tim Hortons Holiday Smile Cookie Campaign.
Running from November 13th to 19th, the Holiday Smile Cookie Campaign featured specially crafted holiday-themed smile cookies, and, in a remarkable display of goodwill, committed to donating all proceeds from the sale of the cookies to charitable causes. 50% of the donations were allocated to Tim Hortons Camps, supporting initiatives that make a positive impact on the lives of children, while the remaining 50% was directed towards local charities.
The Orangeville Food Bank is set to receive a generous donation of $15,487 from the proceeds of this heartwarming campaign. This financial injection will significantly contribute to the Food Bank's mission of alleviating hunger and providing essential support to those in need within the Orangeville community.
Savanaha O’Reilly, Food Manager at the Orangeville Food Bank, expressed her gratitude, saying, "We are very grateful to have had the opportunity to collaborate with our local Tim Hortons on this initiative. Huge thank you to Krista, Cara, and the entire team at our local stores for all of your support." This collaborative effort underscores the power of community partnerships and highlights the positive impact that businesses and charitable organizations can achieve when working together for a common cause.
The success of the Tim Hortons Holiday Smile Cookie Campaign in Orangeville is a testament to the community's unwavering generosity and compassion, demonstrating that even in challenging times, the spirit of giving can unite us all. As the holiday season unfolds, the Orangeville Food Bank looks forward to utilizing the funds received to further enhance its services and provide essential resources to those in need.
