Please join us and meet the candidates running for Orangeville's five Councillor positions in the October 26 Municipal Election.
Our community is facing growing challenges around food insecurity, housing, affordability, poverty, and access to essential supports. With 18 candidates running for five Councillor positions, we want to hear how those hoping to represent Orangeville understand these challenges and the role our municipality can play in addressing them.
Thanks to dedicated advocacy funding from Food Banks Canada, we are able to bring community members together and to host this forum. Learn more about Food Banks Canada's advocacy work here.
How the forum will work
Questions will be collected from the community in advance and selected around the social issues affecting Orangeville. Candidates will be given equal opportunities to respond.
Questions will not be taken from the audience or livestream comments during the event.
Help shape the conversation by submitting a question you would like candidates to answer at the forum.
The forum will be streamed live on YouTube, so while we welcome you to attend in person, we hope those who are unable can join us online.
Orangeville Food Bank is non-partisan and does not endorse candidates. This forum provides an opportunity for residents to hear directly from Councillor candidates about social issues affecting our community.
